Dr Peter Amess Departure
It is with great sadness that I announce my departure from the Church Street Medical group after being a part of the team for almost ten years. It has been a real joy to serve the population of Tewkesbury and Cheltenham and I take with me many fond memories. I have also enjoyed the privilege of training doctors to become GPs and supporting the nurses to become prescribers and manage urgent care. My role as a hospital practitioner in Tewkesbury has also been a source of fulfilment and working alongside the wonderful team on Abbeyview Ward.
I am moving to the South East with my family. My wife has been appointed as the Chaplain at a secondary school where I will be teaching some Biology and Chemistry whilst exploring opportunities in General Practice.
I would especially like to thank all the staff I have worked with over the past 10 years. Every day, without exception, they try their best to serve and look after your health needs with both kindness and compassion. Church Street Medical, Crescent Bakery and West Cheltenham are truly blessed with amazing staff and I will miss them all.
